Day 4 - Sunday April 24, 2011

One of the reasons Jesse went back home was for her Godsons Christening. Her trip allowed her to be in London for her Dad's retirement/restaurant closing, Christening, and the royal wedding.

Children are allowed at pubs

The red and white flag is London's flag. The one all over the city is Britain's flag.

The reception was near the red pin and the church ceremony was close to where Jesse's dad lives, Brent. I drove us back from the reception because Jesse and her friend had been drinking. Their legal limit on alcohol consumption is lower than ours in the US.

Day 3 - Saturday April 23, 2011

First stop of the day... Abbey Road Studios.

Tourist hold up traffic attempting to recreate the famous Beatles photograph.
I had to be lame and walk across as well... dumb tourist.
Then Jesse had to be lame and walk across as well. She's a tourist now!
Went to Pret A Manger and bought food for a picnic in Hyde Park. America only has them in NY, DC, and Chicago.

The gal behind me is wearing the same thing I'm wearing.

Jesse's dad's old Swedish restaurant. It used to be white with an awning and Swedish flags on the sides. It's now being turned into a Thai restaurant.

Hired a taxi to take us to the London Eye.

Passed Buckingham Palace.

Right after this photo we got hit with a mini tornado! Everyone ran into the London Sea Life Aquarium.

Millennium Bridge

The English don't pronounce W's and their E's sound like A's so Berwick sounds like "Bear-ick"

We stopped at Tesco to buy wrapping paper for Jesse's Baptism gift

All of the shopping carts are linked together in the parking lot. You have to put a 1 pound coin into the handle in order to release a cart. (You get it back when you return the cart.)

Day 2 - Friday April 22, 2011

Jesse had a hair appointment so I got to sleep in. Afterwards, we headed out to the shopping centre to get her some shoes for her friends BBQ. Unfortunately, it was a bank holiday which meant the stores all close early. We ended up getting locked in and had to be escorted out by security. Here's the madness of everyone leaving the parking lot at the same time. It probably took us 45 minutes.
Bank holiday, which means stores close early. We got locked inside Fenwick (sounds like Fenick)

Day 1 - Thursday April 21, 2011

*Departed LAX at 9:30pm 4/20/11 and arrived at 8am (4pm London time) on 4/21/11

Their cute little traffic.

First stop was Jesse's Dad's house to drop off my luggage then off to the Ice Bar on Heddon St.

Looking thru a pillar of ice.

Pearl, Jesse's Cousin. It sounds like Jesse calls her Pull.
Countdown... this is the amount of time we have left inside the bar.

@ Pizza Express I noticed my right forefinger was swollen from holding the camera at the Ice Bar
